AE Works is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team.  Individuals who are qualified for this position shall possess the ability to work directly with clients and lead the discussion during presentations, project meetings, pre-design and programming activities, shall have excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical/problem solving skills, lead and work within a multi-discipline team setting and be able to work in a scheduled, driven, and challenging environment.

Role and Responsibilities for Position:

  • Develop planning and processes for project teams through all phases of design and construction for building projects, both new construction and renovation, within various market segments
  • Produce management documents (plans, minutes, scopes of work, subcontractor agreements, etc.) as needed for clarity
  • Set goals and milestones for projects and achieve thru effective leadership
  • Champion project management relevance within the firm thru mentorship and training
  • Lead and participate in meetings, internally and externally, to collaborate with other team members and Clients
  • Travel with team members for onsite collaboration, investigations, and project presentations
  • Attend interviews for new work opportunities and participate as needed
  • Attend industry events including participation in speaking and presenting to demonstrate expertise

 

Technical Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering from an NAAB or ABET accredited university, respectively
  • PE or RA registration in VA, MD, or other reciprocal state
  • PMI credential given preference
  • 15+ years of industry experience required
  • Recent project management experience in the federal market is required. 
  • Recent project management experience in healthcare, senior care, commercial, and/or public safety projects
  • Highly proficient in Planning and Scheduling technology, including Clearview, Deltek, or other similar ISM platforms
  • Skilled with using cloud based and mobile technology for collaboration
