Project Architect

AE Works is looking for a seasoned architect and recognized technical expert in any of the following market segments: Healthcare, Science/Technology, or Higher Education.

In this role, we'll count on you to:

  • Lead clients and internal design teams of architects and engineers through planning, design, and construction administration for new and renovation building projects
  • Produce high quality deliverables for clients at all stages of design
  • Champion architectural design relevance within the firm 
  • Attend interviews for new work opportunities

Our top candidates will have a profile similar to:

  • Professional degree in architecture offered by an institution accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB)
  • Registered Architect (RA) license in Virginia, Washington, DC, or other reciprocal state
  • 8+ years of project experience in an architectural practice
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
  • Experience with Revit

  • Experience with Bluebeam, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Procore, Office 365, G Suite, Slack
  • American Institute of Architects (AIA) membership 
  • Evidence-Based Design Accreditation (EDAC) certification
